Cheesecake is one of the most popular desserts and perhaps one of the oldest involving dairy other than milk. The history of cheesecake can be dated back to ancient Greese where small cheesecakes were served to athletes during the first Olympic games held in 776 B.C.. Cheesecakes usually comprise of a crust, the cheese filling and sometimes a fruit topping. Cheesecakes are commonly made of cream cheese, ricotta cheese , cottage cheese or quark cheese and the crust may be pastry, cookie or even a layer of cake.
